Viral attacks / cold Infections
Ordinary every-day colds have a harmless 'life'. Influenza, on the other hand is a different case. How can 'flu' be differentiated:
- Influenza cases in the area
- Sudden, severe onset
- High temperature
- Feeling of severe illness, muscle and bone pain, weakness, need to remain in bed.
Pneumonia and other complications can follow. In CF even the common cold can cause big problems. Most CF-sufferers are acquainted with the symptoms: massive mucus secretion problems and the danger of a huge increase of pseudomonades and other bacteria.
The only solution to this problem is to avoid viral infections by strengthening the immune system.
By an optimal diet:
- Avoid fatty stools as this saps strength
- Balanced acid-alkaline level
- Raw food and enzyme rich diet
- Supplements of fat-soluble vitamins and minerals
- Probiotic diet (seed /germ rich), e.g. natural yoghurt. This supports and strengthens the bowel flora and keeps unwanted microbes in the intestine tract at bay
- Vicolon® has not only many friendly bacteria, but also valuable / worthwhile algae.
As much fresh air as possible:
- Regular sport in the fresh air
- Out into the fresh air several times during the day
- Air the room often during the day in winter, in summer leave doors and windows open constantly.
Measures to 'harden' our constitution:
Don't endanger yourself:
- Dress warmly, take a reserve pullover, too
- Keep feet warm, cold feet have the reflex (reflectoric) effect of a diminished blood circulation in nasal mucus, enabling viruses, etc. to cross the mucus-lining barriers.
And when the throat is already sore?
- Drink lots, e.g. bronchial effusions / tees
- Inhale camomile for an irritable cough
- Gurgle with good herbal substnce
- Take Acerola-powder three times a day, Acerola contains vitamin C and secondary plant substances
- Use foot-bathes / showers often, first warm, then cold, dry immediately. Using a cold face cloth, cool neck; cool hands and joints under running cold water and then dry...
- Umckaloabo®, won from a natural root in South Africa, loosens phlegm, strengthens immunity and has an antibiotic effect.
